Microfinish Trunnion Ball Valves
Microfinish trunnion mounted ball valves are available in a one piece fully welded design, mainly for underground installation; two piece which is mainly the ASME flange type design; and three piece with extended pups for in-line welding.
All configurations are available in reduced bore and full bore design, in sizes from 2 inch (DN50) and up to 48 inch (DN1200), and pressure classes from ASME 150 to 2500.
Microfinish Floating Ball Valves
Microfinish floating ball valves are available in a flanged type one piece side entry design; a two piece mainly ASME flange type design, and three piece with a variety of end connections such as threaded, socket weld, butt-weld, and extended butt-weld ends for in-line welding.
All configurations are available in reduced bore and full bore designs, in sizes from 1/2 inch (DN15) and up to 10 inch (DN250), and pressure classes from ASME 150 to 2500 (size dependent).
Microfinish Cryogenic Ball Valves
The Microfinish cryogenic valve line is available in trunnion mounted valve type up to 24 inch (DN 600) and floating ball type up to 10 inch (DN 250). The various configurations are available in reduced bore and full bore designs, and pressure classes from ASME 150 to 2500 (size dependent). The valve must function properly at temperatures as low as -269°C/-450°F and precise tolerances are set for those parts to be subjected to thermal shock and shrinkage. Furthermore, some cryogens such as LOX and LNG are flammable; so the valve must be designed to be fire safe as specified in API 607, API 6FA, and ISO 10497 standards.
Microfinish Metal Seated Ball Valves
The Microfinish robust metal seated ball valve line outperforms in the harshest industrial conditions. This includes extreme high temperature up to 650°C / 1200°F, abrasive medium such as fly-ash, slurry, and pulp applications, and pressures as high as class 2500.
By default, Microfinish metal seated ball valve line exceeds FCI-70-2 Class V leak rate with outstanding repeatability. Class VI leak rate is also feasible upon special request, and pending approval from the Microfinish engineering team.
Microfinish Oxygen Service Ball Valves
Microfinish oxygen service valves are available with threaded, socket weld, butt-weld, ASME Class 150, and ASME Class 300 flanged ends. Valves range in size from ½ inch (DN15) to 16 inch (DN400) and materials include stainless steel 316/CF8M and Monel 400.
Microfinish Chlorine Service Ball Valves
Microfinish valves for dry chlorine service are in full compliance with the guidelines established in the chlorine institute, Pamphlet 6: "Piping Systems for Dry Chlorine".
The valve body material is made from carbon steel WCB, LCB or LC1 (for low temperature), and trim made of Alloy C22 or Alloy C276 material. Microfinish chlorine service valves are cleaned, assembled, tested, packed and delivered under the same conditions of valves used for oxygen service.
In cases where there is a risk of uncontrolled cavity pressure build up due to media phase change, Microfinish chlorine valves will include a ball with the relief hole facing the upstream side.
